WHAT IMPACT ARE YOU MAKING TO “PUSH BACK THE DARKNESS”?: MHM Phase Two
Now that you have launched your ministry let’s talk about what impact your multi-housing ministry team is making to seek and save the lost living in the multi-housing community you are serving. Here are five questions that we’d like for you and your ministry team to answer to ensure that you are truly making an impact:
MHM STRATEGY AREAS: - EVALUATION
SERVICE: What are we doing for the people who are providing the ministry services?
QUALITY: How well are you providing the services through ministry?
PEOPLE: Who is providing the services through ministry? What are their skill levels; do they need training?
FINANCES: Do I have the resources to help our multi-housing ministry team to serve others?
GROWTH: Are we fulfilling our mission and purpose? How close are we to our preferred outcomes?

WHAT ARE THE FACTS?:
More than 340,000,000 people live in North America
(i.e. 300,000,000 in the USA and 40,000,000 in Canada
• We lose 3,017,000 per year due to death
• 83 % of these people DO NOT know Christ as their Savior
• Only 342,000 were Baptized in 2008
We will need to plant 20,000 NEW Churches to catch up!
In Multi-Housing Communities:
More than 54% of ALL families living in America Live in a Multi-Housing community
• 95% of these residents DO NOT attend a local Christian Church
• 4% of these residents DO attend a local Christian Church
• 1% UNKNOWN
The NEW Mission in America are Multi-Housing Communities!
WHAT DO WE WANT TO MEASURE?: “M.E.M.E.”
MEASURE = the important things!
EVALUATE = what we want to achieve as outcomes.
MENTOR = others by working & walking along aside them to show them how.
EMPOWER = others to take ownership to grow the ministry.
MHM GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
Commit to excellence:
- Make sure we do ministry right – with quality
Measure the important things:
- Program participation (#’s)
- Small Group Bible Studies;
- and Baptisms (Taking’ em to the Pool)
Create and develop leaders:
- empower others to lead and grow the ministry
Focus on team development:
- build a sense of spiritual team spirit – through positive relationships
Align our behaviors and goals with our values:
- stated values vs. real values (be aware of what we actually modeling)
Communicate continuously:
- email; txt messages; visits; meetings; newsletters; website; create a blog; go on YouTube
